If the bandages are successfully applied, Bloody bandages will be placed in your backpack. Such bloody bandages can be washed in water (for example, a barrel of water, a drinking bowl for animals) and they can be used again. To wash the bloody bandages, you will need to accumulate some of them and 1 more unit of the reagent Pumice (you can knock them off mobs or buy them from merchants). For washing, take a pack of bloody bandages and 1 unit of Pumice stone and put it in a backpack, go to the container with water and make 2 clicks on the pack of bloody bandages and point to the water. The bandages will be washed with everything that was in the pack, and 1 unit of Pumice stone will be used up (therefore it is better to wash in heaps). Some of the bandages may not be able to withstand washing and tear, so you won't always get as many clean bandages as you washed.
